Cybersecure Municipality:
New obligations and various funding opportunities for you

November 6, 2026 | 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM | KUMST, Brno

In conjunction with the Open Open conference, a dedicated side program focused on cybersecurity will take place.

Important - this event is in Czech language and primarily for Czech council members and IT staff.

What topics will be covered?
How can you prepare your office for the new cybersecurity legal requirements and where can you secure funding for protection? We invite you to an afternoon meeting designed for local governments, held alongside the OPEN OPEN 2026 conference at Brno's KUMST venue.

Municipalities with extended powers and Prague city districts are approaching the deadline to comply with the new Cybersecurity Act. Offices can obtain a grant from IROP covering half of the total costs. Applications are open until December 17, 2026.

What can you look forward to?
Legal Requirements in Practice: Specifically what the law demands from offices and how to proceed with fulfilling these new obligations.

Funding Options: How to leverage IROP calls to secure your office. The Director of the Center for Regional Development has confirmed their attendance.

Experience Sharing and Discussion: A space for your questions and specific situations currently being managed at your office.

Who is this meeting intended for?
Primarily for leadership and IT staff of municipalities with extended powers and Prague city districts. However, representatives of smaller municipalities who wish to better protect their offices, data, and services against cyber threats will also find the information highly valuable.
